August 31, 2015 - God's Words & Promises

A few of God's words...

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”  Jeremiah 29:11-13

🌺"Cast the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully." 1 Peter 5: 7 (amplified version)

"Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7

🐏Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary & carry heavy burdens & I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble ' gentle at heart & you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:28-29

🌈The things which are impossible with men are possible with God. Luke 18:27

💗"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13

It is awesome how we can read a book, a chapter, a verse from scripture and it just speaks directly to US at a particularly time in our lives. The ones you have quoted above certainly do fit you and Perry right now and I know you gain great comfort from them. Psalms is my “go to” Book whenever I need my spirits lifted. However, Philippians 4:13 is my favorite verse in the Bible; it’s my manta. It is displayed several places in my home. While Perry takes his nap today, stop and ask “how do people get through a day without God let alone the journey you two are on? So thankful for the faith you two have. Just knowing God is in charge, He’s got this; allows calming peace to surround you both. E-hugs!! Love, Joni & Ken
