Humph

One step forward, two steps back.

Overall, Pete is still definitely getting healthier. That said, we had a few low grade fevers last night and then his white count did go back up just slightly today (15.1). At the same time, his pain is real not well controlled at all, so we are relatively sure that discharge is pushed to at least Monday.

Pete describes the pain as imagining the worst sunburn you've ever had, and then taking a Brillo pad to it. Add in occasional shooting nerve pain, and it's just really overwhelming. That said, we've hit the point where at least after he lays still for a while it is mostly under control. It's just getting up for physical therapy or to go to the bathroom that break him. They are trying very hard to get things under control, but meanwhile it's just a lot.

Please keep him in your thoughts for healing and reduced pain. I know he's SO anxious to get home (we all are), but we do have to be sure he's ready to go!

Still praying for you, Pete and hoping things settle into healing and relief from the pain very soon. Clearly you have quite a reservoir of strength to have borne this much. Know you will find a way. Here's hoping you're able to head home soon!

Hey Pete, i cant imagine your pain. I hope at some point they get it under control. Just try and hang in there as best you can. The Colts play at 4:25 on channel 55. Take out your frustrations on that. Keep going in the right direction. Love ya my friend!!!
