Spring Break Update

I went back to work last week, and it went well. The kids and staff were all super supportive and helpful. It's nice to work at such a wonderful place. I'm on Spring break now and mostly just resting. The weather is getting nicer here, so Sherlock and I have been walking as much as possible. I have some minor discomfort, but nothing worth complaining about. The one negative is that my cardiac rehab is not covered, so I will have to do some research into that. Thanks to those who have sent me info already.  I still get winded easily, so struggle with some of the basic things around the house. But, It hasn't even been two months yet. So, I'm doing pretty well, all things considered. I am truly grateful for all the love and support I have received from family and friends. Having been through two "near death" experiences in less then nine years, I figure I'm just too stubborn to go just yet.

Wishing everyone all the best,

Love,

Pete

Very good update Pete. Keep at it and know rest is a good thing so the body can do its healing. Enjoy the coming of Spring. Dee Dubin,Salida

Hi Pete, you're a trooper that's for sure . But stubborn? Well maybe. LOL. But sometimes that's a good thing, especially when it comes to fighting for your life and doing rehabilitation! So glad you have Sherlock to keep you company. Wishing you all the best and continued recovery! Marcie and Spencer

You are one TOUGH human, and I am so happy for you! What a wonderful reception from your students and staff - I'm sure they are thankful to have you back. Keep up your positive attitude - that is probably a major key to your recovery so far!!!!
