I'm so sad to hear this news. I'm glad she's no longer struggling and is in a much more wonderful place. She and my mother were grand friends and I suspect my mom was in the welcoming party. I'm sure Deb had kitties and I hope they find a good, forever home. I will miss my friend.

Today around 3:30pm pst, Deb passed peacefully. Her two close friends, Rhonda and Dee, were each holding her hands and her pastor was holding her feet as she passed. They said the 23rd Psalm and the Lord's Prayer together just before. The minister said that she stopped breathing almost immediately when they removed the ventilator. She is home with God now and with her mom, Joanne, dad, Bill and her brother, Kevin. How amazing that must be! We appreciate all your prayers, concerns and love for Debbie. We will keep you apprised of the date and time of services.

June 8th, 2018 5:00pst - The process of transferring Deb from "life support" to "comfort care" is has begun.

This news just tears at my heart and I have had several heart-to-hearts with God over the past several days. Any one that knew Deb, knew that she was larger than life and a force to be reckoned with. She had the gift of gab and could talk to anyone about anything at any time. I not only loved that about her but I envied it. It was a joy to spend time with her and I have missed her dearly since she moved from Maryland. I pray for a total and miraculous healing as anything less would be devastating. Deb, if you ever get to see this post, know that you were a treasure and always had a special place in my heart for you. I hold you in my heart and prayers.

Even though the updates may not be what we are aching to hear, I cannot tell you how much it means that you remember to update us through this difficult time. Our God is a God of miracles and we won't stop praying.

Deb’s medical team has advised that due to the severe and extensive damage to her brain and brain stem as a result of the stroke and the surgery for the blood clot, her prognosis is very poor. Over the past 10 days, there has been no progress of recovery and her condition is in decline. She will likely be moved from “supportive care” to “comfort care” tomorrow. "Deb if there was ever a time to wake up, it is now."

Yesterday was not as good as hoped. Deb's BP was considerably higher without a known cause. They increased the BP meds and started them continuously. She had pulmonary distress and had to have her airway cleared. They did a chest x-ray to see what might be causing the pulmonary distress and the findings are not back yet. It is suspected some fluid is the cause so she is on diuretic now to help that. She is also on antibiotics to keep bacteria down so that she does not develop pneumonia.

We continue to hold hope for Deb's recovery. The body and spirit are miraculous. Prayers, prayers, prayers. It is in God's and Debbie's hands, they have the final say, but we can be a stand for our desires to have her with us.

Thank you for your continued support.

Thank you for all of your prayers for Debbie. The power of intentional prayer is miraculous.

Deb remains comatose and unresponsive. She does however, respond to activation of a nerve spot and occasionally over breathes her vent. She has had a lot of guests and her blood pressure goes up when they visit. We are very grateful for the love and support of her Tucson church family/friends and any others that have visited her.

They say that hearing is often in play for patients in her situation, so all kind and encouraging words spoken to her at bedside, could be very influential in her recovery. We are holding hope that she is "in there" finding her way back and allowing her body to recover and find it's balance once more so that we may have her with us in person once again. We trust that God is with her, guiding her way.

Hi everyone, tonite Debs condition is unchanged, she is unresponsive despite the reduced sedation earlier today. The nuero Dr reported the MRI does confirm damage to the brain stem , which was suspected. We will Pray tomorrow brings better news. Anything is possible .
