Update 12/14/2019

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for all of the kind notes of encouragement. I would have posted sooner, but had a detour on my road to recovery. I was bed ridden for almost three weeks and was not able to really sit in front of the lap top. The good news is that I have pretty much recovered from the infection. I have been able to get out and walk this week, which really does a lot of good for the attitude, etc. I am also able to sit in the chair next to the big window in my room and do things like type this note. I have come to really appreciate little victories.

As Angie mentioned in a previous post, I have started a new chemotherapy regimen. It is treating me good so far. The doctors and nurses are keeping a pretty close eye on me (doing multiple blood tests everyday). Right now, we are unsure if I will need to spend the next month in the hospital or not. I am not happy with the prospect of spending more time away from my family and friends, but I am comfortable with it. I am receiving excellent care and realize that this is where I need to be at this time.

Again, thank you for all of your prayers and kind words. I can't describe to you how much it means to me knowing that so many awesome people are in my corner. I love you all and will keep you updated on my progress.

With much love,

Robert Redland

This is good news. I know you would rather take giant steps, but baby steps will get you where you want to go. Hugs.

Robert, Daily prayers go up for total recovery. Hearing directly from you is most encouraging. You are very much loved. The prayer and praise group intercedes weekly for you. I’m praying you get to spend Christmas out of the hospital. As Dorothy said, “There’s next place like home!” Love ya, Dotty

Hi Robert, I'm so sorry you are going through this illness. I just wanted you to know that I see you, I'm praying for you, and will keep you and your beautiful family in my thoughts. Have you heard of the documentary called Heal? I can send it to you if you like.
