Radiation treatment

I start radiation treatment on December 7th. They use a linear accelerator (LINAC) to deliver the external beam radiation treatments.  It delivers high-energy x-rays to the area of the tumor. Here is a link to learn more about radiation oncology at UW Carbone Cancer Center. https://www.uwhealth.org/radiation-oncology/main/ 40374

The first session will be about 30 minutes and then the following treatments will be 15 minutes daily for the next month.

They doctors tell me to expect to become fatigued towards the end of my treatments and for awhile after they are completed. They will meet with me weekly to monitor for skin irritation.

If you want company on a treatment day, let me know. It is a short walk for me from work.

So sorry I missed your visit to Supreme, but I know Mary and the other round table people were very happy to see you... Good Luck to you as you start your new treatments...
