Words are powerful. They have the ability to put you on top of the world and they can crush a person. Right now there are four words that are causing us concern and fear. Those four words are “suspicious of metastatic disease”. Those are the words typed by the doctor who read Sarah's CT scan while he was looking at her liver.
We met with Sarah’s oncologist this morning and he is hopeful that an MRI will reveal that the spots on her liver are not cancer, but the CT scan couldn't rule it out. So, she is having an MRI today at 6 pm to take a closer look. We will then meet with her oncologist tomorrow morning at 9:15 to get those results. We appreciate any prayers or warm thoughts you can send our way.
Let us not forget that words can also be full of hope.
When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid. (Psalm 56:3-4)
