Hello Lovely Friends,
We haven’t posted for a while, as we took time out to really have a good break in the Sept/Oct school holidays and then get back into Term 4 at school. During this time we have passed the 4 month post Stem Cell date and have been trying to figure out what life looks like with the new medications and recovery scenario for Bernadette and our family.
PRAISE POINT: In the first 6 weeks of being on the Maintenance Therapy (medications) we have seen the Myeloma Protein level drop from 27 down to 19, with all other things either remaining stable or some slight improvements. We are so excited to see this and thank the Lord for this news!! We are staring down the zero and continuing to cry out for the Father to His complete healing for Bernadette. God is good.
PRAYER POINT: Bernadette was confirmed to have a case of Chicken Pox just yesterday- yep, she has spots, and is now in quarantine at home for the next 7-10 days. Whilst this is not uncommon for people after a Stem Cell Transplant, it is not ideal, and we would value your prayers for her. Apart from the fact that it’s never enjoyable for anyone, it can pose a greater risk for her, so again, rest and recovery are very important.
Would you please join us in praying that it would be mild; that her body would quickly get rid of the virus; for no further complications; and for a very speedy recovery. She is also unable to continue taking the Maintenance medications whilst she has the Chicken Pox and, given that they seem to be working well to lower the Myeloma protein level, we need to be able to reinstate that as soon as possible.
Once again, we want to thank you all for your continued love and prayers for us all. This journey would be so much harder without your amazing support in so many different ways. Our whole family is blessed by the family and friends that we are surrounded by. May the Lord bless you and keep you all.
Love & Blessings,
Robb & Bernadette & Family xo
