Dear Friends,

Hello and Happy New Year!

We hope and pray that you and your families have been energised and equipped to begin your own journey for the year ahead. After a wonderful break and time with family to recharge, relax and be filled again, it’s been a whirlwind start to this year. The last 2 weeks have been huge in our household: Tues 28/1- new school year started ✔️ Wed 29/1-Drs visit + Bone Juice ✔️ First results back from being on the new medication for 2 months= myeloma protein down another 3 points to 16- Praise the Lord!  Keep calm and carry on this schedule monthly :) Thurs 30/1- had 2nd lot of vaccinations= 7 needles ✔️ Friday 31/1- other appts ✔️Mon 3rd-9th- a 16th Birthday, resumed school activities, school camp...and breathe:) ✔️

It is already a challenge to think about how we will continue to be all that we need to be for each other in these spaces. We wrestle with the reality of outworking everything, with reduced capacity and energy, and the need for rest, versus the busy demands of a young, vibrant family. How to be present in the important times, not just the urgent. As we look ahead and try to plan, the reality is that this long distance race is run one day at a time! However, our Father God is gently reminding us at every turn, through our own daily times with Him, reading the bible, our family relationships, our church gatherings, and through heart discussion with friends, that it’s not what you know but WHO you know. And although we may not know what to do, our eyes are on Jesus, and His presence is what we most need and desire. “We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.” (2 Chron 20: 12b- Story of King Jehoshaphat as he faced an army way too big to defeat-but God :)

What we know about Bernadette’s health, what the medical world knows and says is one thing, but it’s the fact that it’s WHO we know that matters: that will always matter the most. We know Jesus, the most High God, the living water, the bread of life, the beginning and the end, the high priest who has known everything we can ever experience, and the redemptive sacrifice graciously giving us everything we need for godliness and life now, and life and freedom for eternity.

So please continue to pray for us to keep our eyes on Jesus: to be strengthened and diligent in the small and mundane acts of life, for healing in Jesus name, and for continued hunger for the love and presence of God, and the obedience to walk in the ways He is calling us to honour and glorify Him.

Thank you for your love and prayers for us as you journey alongside us. We are so blessed by you and grateful for the many times you have undergirded us and lifted us up spiritually, and in practical ways.

We pray that you would also draw near to the Lord in all your days and would in turn experience the wonder and majesty of an all powerful, Holy God drawing near to you, as Father and friend.

Love and Blessings,

Robb & Bernadette & Family xo

Thank you for update, thank you for sharing your faith with us. Yes indeed, our God is so big, so great and so awesome, there’s nothing our God cannot do, that’s true! (I remember our kids used to sing this when they were little). Our hope is in Him with you and for you. Blessings
