Little by little is how Rob describes his progress and it is so apropos.  Since November 15th he has made a little progress in some area every day which has added up to some wonderful improvements. We are so thankful and hopeful that with his determination and all the prayers, love and support he will continue to improve every day.

His doctor has worked to stabilize his blood pressure and it seems he has found the right combination of drugs.  Rob is working very hard in therapy.  He goes three times a week and does a combination of speech, occupational and physical therapy. I know he wishes he would wake up one morning and he would be the same as he was before his stroke and little by little he is getting there. We are celebrating all the ways he has improved, and rejoicing in each new accomplishment!

Sending our love and gratitude to all of you!

Thanks Cynthia, So glad to hear Rob is getting better each day. He continues to be in my constant thoughts and prayers. I enjoyed the picture of him practicing with his golf club. Tell him the big bopper sure misses him on the golf course. :) Gary.

Cynthia, thank you for the update! So good to hear that there is steady improvement, even though it is probably way to slow for Rob. I will keep the prayers coming.

You aren't alone, Rob and Cynthia! There are many different ways to experience life and get that feeling of "I wish I could wake up and have everything be the same as it was." You are never going to be the same. But there will be silver linings in this experience. I know you already have an understanding and empathy for others in your situation. And you will be a light to all of those. And you will grow by leaps and bounds in spirit and soul. Those days of feeling angry and sorry for ourselves are Ok to long as we don't stay there too long. Those feelings are also a part of the healing process and necessary. I am so grateful to have you two in my life journey. To be REAL together. Life is a raw experience and we are all here to thicken our soul skin. The "why" questions sometimes never get answered in a timeframe that suits us. But we know it's not about us, right? We love you so very much. And you're in our thoughts and prayers every day. Prayers for peace of mind, body and soul. X's & O's. Kathy & Will

Encouraging messages each time I have read ‘Our Daily Bread’ since Rob’s stroke. It’s in the Attitude is today’s theme with a reminder that life is 10 percent what happens to us and 90 percent how we react to it. Praying for your continued determination and patience over this long haul.

Hi Rob & Cynthia, I hope nice progress is continuing each day. This is a short note because I was thinking about Rob while reading the book, 'Why We Sleep.' The author includes various research studies that prove the value of a good night of sleep. Recovery from stroke is significantly improved with deep sleep. I pray that Rob has been able to sleep very well, especially now that he is at home. God bless you all.
