How’s the weather

Tuesday mom had round two of Chemo. The day started out with a prediction of snowpocalypse. Over a foot they said.... I began to wonder after a whooping 3 inches,  if the over zealous prediction of snow was a sign. Perhaps round two for mom will be highly over anticipated and way over predicted. I am happy to announce that moms round two of chemo was in fact overly forecasted. She is feeling great!

Tuesday came off without a hitch, well easy for me to say, but round two has left her with minimal side effects.  Her appitite is strong, she is positive, and smiling. The universe works in strange ways. Sometimes in life we prepare for the worst. Sometimes the forecast is just crap. But we all know weatherman can be wrong.

I truly believe, it is all the love and support from friends, family, and even strangers that keeps the smiles going. It was amazing tonight, to be able to see my mother laugh and enjoy the moment. Thank you all. Please know that not a comment goes unread, a meal uneaten, or a story untold. Please know that each and every one of you contributes to her unpredictable fight.

The news received tonight was ever so welcome!! After such a successful first round, it was hoped that you were setting a pattern of repeats..... but ya know, you never know for sure..... BUT, we’re talking about Sue Talbot here.... & when Sue sets her mind to something.... it ALWAYS gets done! No one is more focused, more able, more strong..... &, let’s face it, more STUBBORN than my sister-in-law!!..... Thank goodness❣️ These personality quirks in you are some of what makes you the Super Woman that you are! I smile as I remember earlier examples of your powers...... do you remember the fish gravel when you were 13 or 14?... or the macrame placemat ( NOT mats 😊) years later?... or the carpentry skills you mastered?... the gardening?... the ponds you built?... the greenhouse you assembled?... the deck you constructed?... the log cabin?... the piano?... your beautiful new home?... the extraordinary carving talent you developed? Good Lord, girl!! You are everything I dreamed I would be, but never had what it takes to realize. You are awesome..... & you’ve got this!!! Attitude & desire... & stubborness..... You’ve got all the ingredients for success ( along w the the magic medical potion being prescribed). You go girl!! Show ‘em what you’re made of! Keep that pattern going... keep on being Sue. Love you💕

Emily, you’ve inherited your mom’s way of looking at everything—with a quizzical eye and an attitude to prove the naysayers wrong! Keep up the attitude and determination, Sue! Your spirit is so necessary to us all! Eat cake! Love you! Lynn
