after the dust settles

thank you to each person who hopefully checked and rechecked this web site for updates about howard.  we were all just so sure he would pull through.  I sit in disbelief still.  thank you friends and family who sent messages, cards, food flowers, attended the service, dropped by the house to offer condolences.  so many of you I'd not yet met,  but he spoke often of each and every friend.  he loved and was loved by so many people.   his very bright light shines now, not in long beach california but somewhere else...higher and brighter.  thank you for loving him.  sandy

Howard and I spent a lot of time together. We would flip a coin to see which car we would go "Cruizen" in. I liked it when he won. He had to drive and I could "Rubber Neck". Would usually start the evening at his house and his (and my adopted) mom would always make sure we had a little something to eat before we went out. Lee was wonderful. I can still hear the distenct sound of his car--54 Chev, with four on the floor, and a vette engine.

Howard was a man of honor, loyalty and trust.. Im so proud to say he was my brother-in-law and friend. Thank you Sandy, Alysia, Michael, Kristin and Happy for your 24/7 bedside vigil. For all of us who knew and loved Howard he will forever live on in our hearts and souls, missed but never forgotten..

Howard was a very happy and special man. He always had an affectionate smile on his face and a good word about everyone. He said he was the luckiest man alive with terrific kids, grandkids, friends and a special woman (Sandy) to love. He will be missed but always remembered.

not a day go by at the gym since Howard passed that Cindy and I don't think and talk about Howard. We miss him and waiting for that smiling face greeting and laughing with us while working out at the gym. We think of you Sandy, keep smiling with all of us because that is what Howard left us with.
