A Cup of Coffee ~
Wont you sit and have a cup of coffee with me?
I just got off the phone and it appears one of the contacts given to us, showed us mercy and made contact with Cris Ann and Caleb. He has told them he thinks he can help them with the passport and visa. We are humbled and continue to ask the Lord for mercy and guidance.
Do you take cream in your coffee?
Something else that has really been on my heart is the whole Posthope.org experience. I just couldn't believe it when I realized that Caleb and Cris Ann tried to get on Posthope when the storm started to hit. Not Facebook, not Twitter or any other social media, they tried to get on Posthope. The more I thought about it the more I realized that Posthope has become a personal place to share very personal and private experiences in a private setting, with the people we love and love us. Caleb and Cris Ann know that and I wonder if they were trying to see who was with them in such a scary time. As you have read when they were able to read the posts from all of you they were blessed beyond measure and I know they continue to be encouraged everyday by the Posthope community and family.
Sugar too?
I want to thank my oldest son Paul tonight for creating and developing Posthope. But I also want to say a few words about Paul. During the days of the unknown, I call them the dark days. My son Paul was an excellent example to me. Although it was a difficult time of us all, Paul continued to remain hopeful in the face of uncertainty, he continued to provide for and love his family knowing that it was his ultimate responsibility, honoring the Lord by trusting Him with the details. You see there were days I just didn't know if I could get up and do what was in front of me, meeting the day to day demands seemed impossible and I would think of Gary and Paul. I knew there was strength tied together by the men in this family and I somehow knew that it was mine to stand firm on and move forward.I am blessed with five grown children, Claire, Rachel, Paul, Caleb and Stephanie. Yes, Claire and Rachel came with Gary but I couldn't love them more. I drew strength from their texts, calls and their love. Not only shown for me but for their brother and Cris Ann. Thank you Barton Bunch!
Gary makes good coffee, don't you think so?
Lastly, tonight I want to thank you all for your continue love and support. There are many of you that have prayed, loved and supported our family on this journey for many years. There are those of you that are new to the journey and we are so blessed to have you in our lives. We are far from the end of the journey but we know we are not alone and for that we are thankful for beyond words.
The coffee hasn't changed it is as good as I remember it.
Tonight as I reflect and meditate on all the Lord has done and continues to do I have peace I am laying the details at the foot of the Cross and trusting God, the God who remained the same throughout the storm, even when I didn't.
Good night and may God Richly Bless each one of you and your families. We have much to be grateful for this Thanksgiving.
Blessings ~ Dawn
