Caleb and Cris Ann are on a plane. On their way home!!! Thank you Lord![...]
I am sorry its been so long since we have been able to get together and enjoy a cup of fresh brewed coffee. It seems God believes in me more then I believe in myself. The demands of work have threatened to over come me and make it difficult to spend time with you.[...]
Thank u Lord! I got my emergency appointment with US Embassy. Thank u you everyone for lifting us in prayers. It was a hard day yesterday, we thought we won't be able to get an appointment 'till January 2. We went to the embassy to beg for an emergency appointment but they told us they can't do anything about it but they gave us contacts where to ask for help. We went home sick, so we rested and prayed about the appointment. We know everyone has been praying for it. We woke us this morning and do devotion and we called the consulate to ask for help. Thankfully, we got it this morning! I will have my interview tomorrow, please pray that everything will go smoothly and that we may find favor in their eyes. Please pray for us also, we both don't feel well. Caleb is so sick today and we need prayers, we can't miss the interview tomorrow cuz we if do we won't be able to get an emergency appointment again. Thank u for making us feel that we are not alone. [...]
It has taken a lot of time to begin to understand what has gone on in the past couple months. One minute I was fighting for my life in one of the most secluded places on the planet, with no phone signal, no power, no water, no way to get money, which we had very little of, very little medical attention and no way to get off the island. I have fought for my life before and I could tell I was once again fighting to stay alive and the only thing I could think was, 'I have to fight for my wife, I can't leave her now.' Then the next second the whole world is in a place where I am the only American around and my dad was with them! [...]
I was soooo excited to see my favorite place, the place where I went to school, where I found new family and friends and the place where I met my husband. This place is TACLOBAN CITY. Nov.6 the last day of the renewal of Caleb's visa, we packed were ready to go to the place of excitement. Oh Wait! my wallet, I counted all the money we had and for some reason I brought just enough for us to pay his visa and a Medical check up. Caleb was sick, so we had to bring him to our doctor to see what was up with him. When we arrived to Tacloban we went to the doctor right away and he did some tests. The tests showed that Caleb had a UTI but nothing else was found. Then we went to immigration right after and did his visa extension. The immigration officer told us that Caleb had to leave the country because he had stayed to long. [...]
It's hard to even begin to write how it feels to report that Cris Ann has her passport and she went to the hospital and was given an IV and some tests and was sent home, feeling better. Today I started out just to tired and to weak to even pray. But knowing that I could reach out to you and hearing your words of encouragement and prayers got me through a rough morning and long day.[...]
I sit here in the early morning hours sipping the coffee I missed so much just a couple of weeks ago. I must tell you that although it tastes wonderful, it does not seem to help me with the exhaustion that threatens to engulf me.[...]
I wonder how it must have felt
When David stood to face Goliath on a hill
I imagine that he shook with all his might
Until You took his hand, and held on tight
'
Cause You were there, You were there
In the midst of danger's snare
You were there, You were there always
You were there when the hardest fight
Seemed so out of reach
Oh, You were there, You were always there
You were always there
So there he stood upon that hill
Abraham with knife in hand was poised to kill
But God in all his sovereignty had bigger plans
And just in time, You brought a lamb
'Cause You were there,
You were there
In the midst of the unclear
You were there, you were there always
You were there when obedience
Seemed to not make sense
You were there, You were always there
You were always there
So haven't I learned that my ways
Aren't as high as Yours are
And You alone keep the universe
From crumbling into dust
You are God and though we would
Not have understood You
There You were
Hanging blameless on a cross
You would rather die than leave us in the dark
Every moment, every planned coincidence
Just all makes sense
With Your last breath
You were there, You were there
During historys darkest hour
You were there, You were there always
You were the Victor and the King
You were the power in David's swing
You were the calm in Abraham
You are the God who understands
You are the strength when we have none
You are the living, Holy one
You were, You are and You will always be
The Risen Lamb of God
You were, You are and You will always be
The Risen Lamb of God
STANDING IN AWE,
Cris Ann[...]
Wont you sit and have a cup of coffee with me?
I just got off the phone and it appears one of the contacts given to us, showed us mercy and made contact with Cris Ann and Caleb. He has told them he thinks he can help them with the passport and visa. We are humbled and continue to ask the Lord for mercy and guidance.[...]
