Caleb Barton – Update

Last Saturday night Caleb’s did not make his regular call on Skype. It is very unusual that he would not call and we prayed that he was safe and that God would continue to watch over him. Tonight I received a text with the following information and I promised Caleb we would be praying.  Hi Mom I am good……it has been rainy for a month straight, only one sunny day and it is flooding everywhere. I could not get to town. One of the kids, Mida’s son, Ompeth was swept away and drowned; she is not doing well at all. She is practically comatose. Mom she has serious post traumatic episodes when it rains. I gave her my head phones so she can’t hear it.  She kept his body for several days and without letting it be embalmed hoping it would resurrect. He swelled up and started oozing out of his mouth.

Earlier this month Caleb reported the following - things are good, it's been kind of crazy lately, some guy showed up to the Christmas party swinging a machete and a knife at people. Very sad!!! I miss you and may be home soon

It has been difficult to imagine how Caleb must be feeling, .please continue to pray daily for Caleb…we love each of you and are so thankful for your continued support of our dear son.

Caleb has just text again asking for donations to help this family with their seven day ceremony. Please pray about this opportunity to express Christ’s love around the world. The last text I received said, “Let me know if you get any responses mom……”
