The Crusade

Hi everyone!

What an amazing time this crusade has been. This has been the most amazing crusade I have been a part of. The Lord moved in the hearts of the local government in Calbayog city and they allowed us to use the park in the middle of the city for the location of the crusade. This park has a large stage with stadium like seating, all made of cement. Thousands of people came to the two night crusade. When Pastor Gerry presented the Gospel and ask for those who wanted to accept the gift of salvation, every hand went in the air. My heart began to wounder which ones were serious, knowing the culture, the Filipinos will raise their hands just because others are and they want to move on to the prizes. Pastor Gerry, also knowing the culture, then asked that that those who were serious about accepting this free gift of salvation should come forward as a sign to their new commitment to Christ. As he finished his sentence the crowed of a few thousand began to split immediately. It was an amazing sight and reminded to of the parable of the Wheat and tares in Matthew chapter 13. In the end, when Jesus returns, a worldwide separation will accrue between those in The Kingdom of God and those who are not. Although this was an amazing sight, it was a time of sadness and prayer for those who hearts were hardened to the One who loves them most. Even more is the urgency to pray for the lost, because when the Lord returns the separation will be final!
The crusade is now over and the team is on their way home. Pastor Gerry has sent me and Kimy to Dumagete to spend a few days at the Calvary Chapel Bible College. I will have the opportunity to see the way they run their school, their curriculum, and their agricultural projects and get to know the brothers and sisters at the school.
Pastor Gerry has given me full authority over the school and I have placed it in the Lord's hands, that He may use it to bring Himself glory all through Asia.
The mission is clear, to make disciples of the entire world. At the school we will prepare the students and interns to go out and do just that, make disciples. We have the go ahead to travel deep into the jungle, in any direction, reaching unreached people and presenting them with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We were blessed with a sound system we will use to have out reaches in the local Borongi's and we will continue to teach the men in the prison about their Lord and prepare them to teach the others in the prisons as well.
We have a lot of work to do on the school to make it presentable and comfortable again. I am looking forward to seeing the Lord work this out.
The children will also be continued to be raised up, for my heart is always with them because it is "such as these to whom the Kingdom of God belongs".[...]
