PLEASE READ, IMPORTANT UPDATE

I just had a very weird experience and even feared for my life. Luxo-On, the village where I live is very pagan. I have seen people offer food sacrifices to their ancestors on the beach and I used to walk by a witch almost every day. As I walked by she would utter spells and try to cast them on me. Today was the first time I came face to face with that evil and I would like to say I won, but I didn't.[...]

This story about Marry Ann is really an amazing one. Today the three of use, me, Cris Ann and Marry Ann went to town so Doctor Delgado could read her TB test. The test showed that she was very positive, but everyone could see that by just looking at her. [...]

Cris Ann

My aunt Sherry said she would like to hear the heart of Cris Ann, so I asked her if she would write. She was very hesitant and uncomfortable, but she did it. It took her three days and it is no longer than 500 word. Here is a look into my other half....[...]

What Will I Do?

Just two weeks ago I made a decision to resign as the director of the School of Ministry. I was addressed with a question several times that I did not understand. I was asked, 'what will you do?' I never knew that most mission organizations and missionaries had a specific purpose other than reaching people with the Gospel. Church planting, medical missions and Bible Schools are just a few specific missions I have learned about and participated in. Then the question remains, 'what will I do?' Well, the Lord has provided a perfect house and yard to be used for ministry. We still have an army of children that we will continue to minister to and raise up. We will have much more time to give to them this year. However, it is not just children anymore, but we have many high schoolers and a few college students. These high schoolers, who were children when I came here, have been lured in by the world and all the darkness that comes during the teenage years. They don't come around anymore, they are to cool and too interested in girls and having fun. But the Lord gave me an idea to start a Ju-Jitsu class. I had tried this earlier this year and I had success, but I had no time or energy to keep it going. But now I have time to pour into these guys and I have many guys signed up and surly many more that will show up. After the lesson we will eat and have a time of fellowship where I will reveal the truths of the Gospel.[...]

Marriage

I am really nervous as I write this blog. Today I will ask Cris Ann’s father for her hand in marriage. Traditionally, our families would gather together for a dinner that would end with the man asking for the blessing of the father. Since I do not have my family here to join, I will bring my Filipino family with me. Cris Ann will cook the dinner, which she is getting ready to do and I will try really hard not to throw up while waiting to talk with her dad. Her family is big and there are several uncles who will be there as well. They are all tough fishermen and tree climbers but they are friendly and we have had some time in the last couple weeks to build a bound. I walked Cris Ann home every day before dark, which is about two miles, have dinner, see her family and walk home. They appreciated the care and even though we can’t talk, actions spoke louder than words; in this case they had to.[...]
