The bone marrow transplant went well!  Thankfully, Cindy did not experience any adverse reactions to the transplant.  So far, so good!

And now, it's recovery time.  Cindy's immune system is very fragile right now and so she is extremely tired.  She spends the greater part of her days sleeping.  As she recovers, she will slowly regain her strength.

While this is a great step toward complete remission, she still has a ways to go.  Please keep those prayers and good thoughts coming!

Cindy enters the hospital today, July 7th, for chemo and radiation sessions before her scheduled bone marrow transfusion on the 16th.  Recovery will be another three weeks.  If all goes well and there are no complications, she should be able to go home the first week in August. Please continue to keep Cindy in your thoughts and prayers!

They found a bone marrow match for Cindy!  From what we understand, the procedure will take place next month!  Keep the prayers and good wishes coming!

Cindy is back in the hospital for round 4 of chemotherapy.  She is currently in good spirits as the side effects have not yet set in.   Send her a message to help her get through the rough spot that is coming.

Cindy is back in the hospital for her 3rd round of chemo.  She will need lots of blood and platelets to recover from the chemo.  More important, Cindy needs a blood marrow donor to end the chemo sessions altogether.  Please consider participating in the upcoming blood and marrow donor drives.  Go to the Calendar for details!

Friends and Family:

As many of you know, Cindy was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of Leukemia. She has two young children. Cindy is in need of blood, platelets and a bone marrow transplant. Unfortunately, none of her family members are a match.

We are organizing donor drives and could use your help in spreading the word. Latino/Hispanic donors are especially needed, but anybody age 18-44 can help save a life! We have upcoming drives in Diamond Bar and Covina. Please see the Calendar for details!

Please consider attending one of these events and help us spread the word!  You can also go to Cindy's "Be the Match" webpage at http://bethematchfoundation.org/goto/swabforcindy for details on ways you can help and locations.

Thank you in advance and God bless!
