Laura, I will not miss Andy the way you and your sons will. I knew him best as a little boy at Rusty’s usually at Christmas when Rick, Laura Leigh, Parker and I would be visiting Mama Sara. Andy would include his younger cousins in playing. I will miss not getting to know you better. I will miss not knowing your boys better. I will miss these because without Andy we may not see your family very often. He would have been our glue. But that won’t happen because we won’t have Andy. These will be empty places that can’t be filled.
Having lost Rick way too early, I have an empathy for your loss. I pray for your healing, your emotional strength.

I’m so sorry. Andy and I were best friends when we were young. We finally reconnected last fall. I had no idea it would be my last time seeing him. I’m so sorry.
