Becca, it’s been too long. I don’t know how to contact you directly so I am posting here. Send me an email at [email protected] and let’s try to get together.

Hi Rebecca,

A friend at work told me about your blog just one week before I underwent a bilateral mastectomy (3 weeks ago). I read every last one with great interest and admiration. I was comforted and encouraged by them. I especially loved the photos of you flying on the trapeze and playing outside. The sculptures are beautiful. They brought tears to my eyes. We used the same surgeon (Lee Wilke) and we also share an awesome writing teacher, Miriam Hall.

I would love to have a cup of tea with you if you're up for it!

I'm so glad that you're feeling so well. Glad to hear about the haircut and the possibility that you can have a less restrictive diet. Much love, Joan

Becca, thank you so much for the call last night. It meant so much to me. It was very thoughtful of you to reach out that way. Reassuring and also fun.

Becca -I awoke today from a dream about you -you were well on your way to recovery (your hair had grown back!)-your house was almost as full of people as it had been for the wonderful CORE art sale last Dec. -when you tired you allowed yourself to lay down on the couch and with a big smile thank all for coming -and for leaving now -as you pulled up a warm, cozy blanket to your chin -such a strong sense of all the
Wonders of you!

Hey Becca. Sending some love your way. Also thinking about the Ingrid Michaelson "Be OK" song, especially that line "Just give me back my pieces And let me hold my broken parts." Video on Youtube if you want to look.

I discovered your blog and feel like an idiot! So out of the loop. I didn't fully realize what was up and want to say I'm sorry I haven't sent love and support at the level due. You are beautiful my friend. If we were still in town, I'd make you a pie and anything else that might taste good. Don could have some too. Now that I've subscribed to your posts, know this: Dave and I will be cheering you on. You precious thing--much, much love, heather & dave

Dear Becca and Don, You are both inspirational leaders in the social justice movement. On behalf of Voces members and the community we serve, I just wanted to thank you both for all your support for the immigrant struggle and human rights. We know this is a difficult time, and our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Thought you would both enjoy a few photos from the recent May Day march. Thank you for all you do for others....stay strong...
