The Delights, Desires and Dilemmas of Cancer

"Take delight in the Lord, and He will (shape) the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will do this:" ~Psalm 37:4-5 NIV

Throughout this cancer journey, I have had many dilemma's and many desires I wished to have fulfilled and yet I have also experienced the delight of walking with the Lord and waiting for His ways to be made known.

Many of you are praying with me for God to resolve the insurance dilemma so I can continue receiving the two chemo infusions every three weeks. I placed a call to my oncology doctor today and am waiting for a callback. Meanwhile, I am finding out what it means to "take delight in the Lord" so that He can shape the desires of my heart. I am also learning to delight in His word and in His all-sufficient grace. As I seek Him first above all else, then I can expect all good things to be added to me.

I have been keeping Psalm 84:11 close to my heart. 💛💛💛
"For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly."

If both chemo drugs are needed to work together, then my God will not withhold them from me. But if only one chemo drug is needed then that will suffice.
Today, if you find yourself in a dilemma, let your heart be filled with God's promises till it overflows with delight, then you will know of His care that you shall not lack any good thing.

📖Scripture Blessings
"But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them." Psalm 34:10, 145:19

💬Thankful Thoughts
Heavenly Father, I am so grateful for your watchful care over my life. Let me not withdraw my trust from You. Teach me to cling to You and Your truths. Help me to remember there is no value in anything unless it is derived from You. Cause me to rest my thoughts in Your sweet promises and follow after Your wise counsel in all matters, whether great or small.

Father, I just want what you desire for me.
