Cheer from the Children!

Encouragement-to put into the heart

A very special thank you to all the children who are praying for me, thinking of me, and sending cheerful notes to brighten my days!!!

What joy to open a package and discover the beautiful love gifts from your kids. Their young, soft hearts have such a pure love with the tenderest of sympathy. A child's spirit is truly full of compassion, eagerness and zest for life. Even Jesus knew the joy of being around children. He said, "Let the children come to me and do not hinder them." Matthew 19:14

Every child has God-given talents that our Lord wants to see developed at an early age. There are so many hands-on ways that these youngsters can do to bring joy to others. And those simple acts of kindness will make their own little hearts happy too. Kids love to be 'helpful.'

One of the first ways our tots learn to think of others is through prayer. My friend Alyssa tells me her daughter Lena reminds the family often at the dinner table to pray for "Cindy Wiwey." Oh how my heart is touched by the sincerity of sweet little lips that have the power to move heaven and earth. Isn't it amazing that even the little ones are aware of how important it is to have heart-to-heart talks with God?!

So, thank you dear moms, for teaching your kids to care, to think about others before themselves, and to share their ‘gifts’ with enthusiasm.  What a wonderful way to express the love of God through the handiwork of a child.

Thank you for allowing the children to put love and encouragement into my heart.

The Ways of God
“You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.” ~Deut 6:7

🎶I don't have to wait until I'm grown up to be loving and true. There are many little deeds of kindness that each day I can do.
I can read my Bible and pray; be a loving helper alway.
I don't have to wait until I'm grown up
to be what Jesus wants me to be.
