10 days out
So, we're 10 days out from brain surgery, several days out of a lightning fast rehab stay, and Joel's been home for a few days now. His sleep is improving incrementally, we've taken a few walks, he's seen friends and had work meetings, is sleeping/resting a lot, hanging with kids as he is able, eating Everett's famous scrambled eggs.
The future is painfully unknown AND there have been many sweet moments along the way. Everything all at once.
Thanks to everyone doing things for us, offering to, sending comments and cards, reaching out to Joel.
We have two appointments this upcoming week- one with an oncologist, and one with the neurosurgeon. We will find out more about the nature of the tumor and thinking through treatment plans at these meetings. After we collect the info and our thoughts, we'll share what we can.
Thanks for following along!
