March 14th Update
We’re celebrating a day of miraculous progress! From the onset, the Doctor’s largest concern was the likeliness of significant brain damage. But, over the last 12 hours, we have seen that the Pastor Mark we all know and love is still with us. After communicating through writing several messages, they finally removed the ventilator around 10am this morning (while we gathered to pray). To our surprise, he immediately started talking and was completely coherent.
While he doesn’t remember much of the last couple weeks leading up to his cardiac arrest, he DOES remember (and is very concerned by) his missed appointments, current house renovations, and cancellation fees for his gym classes. This is very typical Mark Morrow!
This afternoon, he even got up and successfully took a few steps, which they said is equivalent to a 10k for him. He wanted to attempt it again, but they advised him to rest instead.
He was able to FaceTime all of his kids and grandkids, which made his day. He has been so touched by all the love and care his family has received over the last week.
If all goes well, he should be moved from ICU and relocated to another part of the hospital to start his rehabilitation journey.
There are still some hurdles for him to overcome, but if he’s shown us anything, he’s up for the challenge. By the doctor’s admission, this type of progress is nothing short of a miracle. Thank you for your continued prayers!

Mark, I have been praying for you since day 1! I wish I could be there to hold your hand and pray with you like you did with me when I was in the hospital! I remember you coming to see me and pray for me..... I am there with you in spirit praying for you. You are loved by so many and have made a HUGE impact in some many people's lives. Today was for me a most incredibly and uplifting time. As we all have been praying fervently and often for Pastor Mark to overcome this shocking and frightening life threatening event, knowing that God is in the center of it all and walking with Pastor Mark, my Church experience turned into an actual celebration of hope, positive connection, and answered prayers. I was with all the others, in the valley of concern and anxiety, but still believing our Lord would not forget our prayers to bring Pastor Mark out of this stage and lo and behold in what seems an accelerated time HE did! Pastor Mark has left that restrictive cocoon behind and is taking step by step to the next level. One day at a time Pastor! Don’t wear everyone at that hospital out! They haven’t seen anything yet. Let them know just how good our GOD is! Praise God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Goodness knows how many souls you may save along the way. Mark, the entire LEAD team has been keeping you in our prayers. I can't tell you how relieved we all are that you are awake and able to communicate with Pam in writing.
