I got my second wind!

I know not everyone who reads this is necessarily a Nick Carter fan, but one of my favorite songs on his new album, All American, is called "Second Wind."  I've been listening to it a lot lately, trying to draw some strength from its lyrics.  One of my favorite lines goes, "No, you can't knock me down, I've got my second wind.  Don't let your heart beat out; just let the sunlight in."

Today, I got my second wind!

It was the last day of school before spring break.  I was dreading it, knowing the kids were going to be crazy (spring break + spring fever + full moon = the unholy trifecta of teaching), but it actually wasn't that bad.  Afterwards, I even felt up to going out for happy hour with a couple of my teacher friends.  Granted, I had to drink frozen margaritas intead of my usual beer because it felt better on my throat - nothing like a little ice and tequila to numb the pain!  But hey, I'm hoping this is a good sign that the worst is behind me, that I'm over the hump and on my way to recovery.  Thanks for your prayers!
