Fishing IS relief!!!

Saturday was a perfect day for fishing! We joined Angling for Relief at Madeira Beach’s ROC Park and had a great time! Many professional anglers volunteered their time to help our families catch fish! Gillz performance apparel gave Jake (founder of angling for relief) the opportunity to create a unique logo for our families (all the proceeds go back to angling for relief!) and they donated shirts and hats to each kid! Kailani’s closet was also there and provided pediatric cancer families with free gently used clothes!

The best part of the day was when Natalia caught two good sized mackerel!!  So exciting! She was on a roll!

Angling for Relief is an organization started by Jake, a young man touched by the life of  his buddy, Ryan. Ryan battled Ewing’s sarcoma and passed away months after being diagnosed. Jake saw how limited his friend’s life was as he battled Cancer.  Because of that, He wanted to bring fishing to children that are in the hospital for treatment, so he created dry fishing Kits for them. This wonderful organization provides pediatric cancer families with an opportunity to spend the day out relaxing by the water and learn how to fish!!! The angling community has been very supportive of Angling for Relief and we are so grateful!!!
