Frustrating foods and flavors
The wacky and strange items I can actually taste: watermelon, peanut butter, Italian dressing, Arby’s curly fries, Arby’s roast beef sandwich with ranch, green grapes, green apples, 1/2 choc flavored DQ Shakes, Water, orange juice,
What flavors I can’t tolerate: chicken regardless of how it’s prepared, hamburgers and whatever it’s in (tacos, enchiladas, spaghetti, lasagna), homemade roast beef, scrambled eggs, bacon (I love bacon!), all flavors of soda, hash browns, pizza, chix noodle soup, choc.,
Slowly some flavors are returning , but primarily items that are sweet/sour I’m able to taste. So I’m wondering if my taste is all messed up from the radiation or chemo? In Dec. I’ll br back on the chemo, and most likely not the radiation. So we shall see. I’ve got another week til thanksgiving, what will I be able to taste by then? The thought of turkey makes my mouth sour馃ぎ.
Every day I’m feeling better and better, but still pretty weak.

Eat the things that taste the best. Randy and I both had covid and that dictates to your taste buds. Still can鈥檛 taste some foods.
Eat the things you can taste and enjoy on Thanksgiving!
You may have to retrain your brain to register smells....like with Covid! Apparently omega 3s and sniffing strong smells helps with this. Essential oils, orange peels, coffee beans, vinegar, cinnamon....get to sniffing girl!😁
Chemo sucks!
