quick chemo update
My counts were high enough so I had my chemo treatment today. Two (2!) more treatments to go, on a weekly Friday schedule now, unless the counts are too low...
I was having a lot of pain around the port as they accessed it both times this week, so they ended up doing the chemo by peripheral IV today (i.e. in my arm), and X-raying the port, but it appears normal, so the thinking is it may be pushing on a nerve. Another chance to meditate on/with pain, though it's intermittent and mostly gone now that they've removed the port access device.

Glad you were able to get your chemo treatment. Thanks for keeping us all updated.
You were thinking that the acupuncture was what got your blood counts stabilized?
Have you changed the need for meals? To a new day? I'm flexible and want to help
I'm glad you got to have the treatment. Am in awe reading your posts. Thank you for sharing your fears, joys and wisdom. It is an incredible lesson. May you have a peaceful night.
Been thinking a lot about you lately. I think a trigger was riding thru Vilas Park & seeing some OWS'rs in Wingra. W some job changes now commenced, I have more control of my schedule & would be happy to join (or kayak support) a swim w you soon, if you're up for it? Maybe a celebratory swim after the last chemo treatment. Holler or scream ;) if this is of interest. Miss seeing you, but hopefully soon!!
One more step along the healing way... you go, girl!
