Bolstered by Love and Medicine
Understatement. We are INFUSED through and through by the OVER THE TOP love and support of Cindy’s Village as well as the EXCELLENT customer service provided by Cindy’s Beaumont medical team.
Pictured above, arrayed on our mantel at home, are most of the cards received by all of you. Friday night (2/15), Cindy read aloud letters received from Maimie G's class and valentines cards received from Emily L’s class at Hillside Elementary - first graders Cindy reads with. All we can say is WOW!
VIP visitors included Char S. and Jan F. Oh, and me too (Glenn).
MRI was bumped by an emergency elsewhere. To be done whenever, “A moving target,” explained Cindy, who has quickly become an expert on hospital stuff (technical term).
The latest, greatest is Cindy’s hairy pillow. Either the pillow is evolving into some kind of animal or she is slowing losing her hair. We’ll let you know but as a precautionary measure, she’s ordering an extra meal for the pillow.
I (Glenn) was FREAKED OUT by PostHope being down for two days. During our walk around the oncology floor, I dumped on Cindy about this because, ya know, she has nothing else to be concerned about except to counsel her falling-apart-at-the-seams husband!. True to form, she reminded me that we are more in a spiritual battle than a physical one.
She gently offered, “Perhaps you should try taking to heart that little, ‘Let Go and Let God,” card on our frig at home.”
I suppose we should also pray about Cindy’s next bone marrow biopsy at 8 a.m. Tuesday, February 19 that will tell us how all this is working and inform what to do next. Pray boldly, for remission but allowing for God to do as he wills, trusting in his plan for us that exceeds what we can ask or imagine. Still, go ahead and imagine.
We ended our day together listening to “Our Daily Bread” that colluded with Cindy’s counsel to me
Unless the Lord builds the house,
the builders labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,

Cindy is amazing and is a testimony that the Lord has her filled with His peace that passes all understanding. He is with you and He is for you and He is her healer! Believing for total healing!! For her strength to be restored and for a whole new season to erupt!!! Spring is soon to produce new life and in it new life to Cindy’s cells throughout her body!! Praying for you too, Glenn! For that release and peace upon you!! God is in control and that you could rest well and lean on Him in every moment!! Love you guys!! Sending some warmth and sunshine from Texas!!
Back to Ephesians...2:10 "For we are God's Masterpiece/poem, created (and at times re-created) in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Glenn and Cindy, continue your missionary work at Beaumont! and...3:19 "...and to know (that is heart know not brain know) this love that surpasses knowledge - that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. God is infinite and when He blesses us with His infinite love there is still an infinite amount for tomorrow and others!
Extending you two a wonderful 40 th wedding anniversary. May your memories be full of God's gracious loving kindness and peace. Praying His healing hand is upon you.
Several of the Our Daily Bread devotionals have been "spot on" lately, & I take comfort in knowing that you two are reading them. Celebrating the milestone of 40 years of marriage & praying for "better" days ahead...and a complete healing...and a lightning/jar experience at Reunion 2019...and SO many other good things. ❤️
Oh, those LETTERS and CARDS from your students at Hillside!!! How these must have brightened your day! Perhaps they should dangle off your IV pole as a reminder of the "medicine" that life sometimes delivers in unexpected ways ~ messages of love and encouragement from children who cherish you and miss you tons. Hurry back to them, Mrs. Trevisan!!! So sweet ...
