Just in: REMISSION!
At about 10:50 a.m., three doctors came to Cindy's room to announce she is IN REMISSION! Possibility of going home early next week to rest up for consolidation chemo in about a month. Beyond that, we don't know much more but this is enough for now.
Turns out, just after that, Cindy "Facetimed" with her fellow Elder's wives who were having breakfast together this morning, so she was able to immediately celebrate with Deb Y, Deb W, Karol, Lisa and Lori. How appropriate. These ladies have lived so much life with her for many years.
Between tears of joy, Cindy and I immediately prayed a prayer of thanksgiving and relief to our good God who worked through her human team to bring this milestone about.
You know, God could do all this on his own by just snapping his fingers but here on planet earth, he chooses to involve the likes of us broken humans. Of course, the greatest of this work was when his son, Jesus became human to save us from sin. In comparison to that, Cindy's remission may seem minor but IT'S MAJOR TO US!.
What a privilege to labor with the Lord in these kinds of ways, as not only the doctors and nurses and other medical professionals have done but you all as well by walking alongside us.

As if it was even possible today, the sun in SW Florida just started shining even brighter. This is so wonderful.
