Now what?

So after the most horrendous month of our lives featuring days when life seemed to literally hang in the balance and the prayers lifted up in our behalf were likely dense enough, in cloud terms, to generate a pretty good storm, now Cindy sleeps, wakes, hydrates, eats a little, downs some meds, rests, naps. Repeat cycle.

Anticlimactic is to grossly understate the situation. Yes, deliciously anticlimactic.  Praise God.

...they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength (Isaiah 40:31a, KJV)

Now what, you ask?  Well, the just-stated cycle is doctor’s orders for the moment.  Plus, no public exposure for a few days. We’re shooting for attending service at Grace Chapel Sunday (3/3) as Cindy’s post-remission debut pending an okay-dokey from her doctor on Thursday (2/28).

We know she’s headed back to the hospital in a few weeks for “consolidation” chemo, more intense but shorter duration than the induction round. Maintaining remission while knocking out remaining immature, “blast” cells is the goal. Beyond that, we don’t really know.

If you’re doing some independent research, Cindy is in the low risk group for AML that I understand is exclusively chemo with no bone marrow transplant.  Of course, this is cancer so nothing is really “for sure,” right?

Except God.  He’s always for sure.  Our job is to wait on and for him.  Pray that we do that and not much else for now.

But as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me. (Micah 7:7, NIV)

"I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27, NIV)

Simply love your delight in “anticlimactic” and your appreciation of the eat, rest, repeat cycle of healing. Praying with you, as always, for patient, peaceful, complete recovery. Love you!
