Day to day
The latest biopsy (#3) is behind Cindy so now we wait until we meet with the doctor next week (3/15) to discuss results and next steps.
Cindy’s feeling so much better and better each day that the idea of going back into the hospital for the week-long round of consolidation chemotherapy is more than a bit daunting. I am with her on that but together we trust in God to direct the path ahead and guide us through to the future he has for us.
So many blessings already - the rapport with, and confidence in, our medical team whose treatment and support has brought us to this moment of recovering and well-being; the assurance of the Lord’s nearness, strength, love; having been lifted up by so many people who have come alongside us in a myriad of ways.
The month that Cindy was in the hospital was our longest apart in the more than forty years we’ve been together. Even so, we saw each other daily and so many others kept both of us in good company, supported and loved.
Since she returned home February 25, to resume sleeping and awakening in the same bed, to slip back into the roles and rituals and the little ways we connect with each other during the day is like a refreshing breeze. This chapter of our lives has revealed that we’ve grown, and grown into, a sort of ebb and flow of both individuality and togetherness that, quite simply, is us.
In that manner, leaning together into our Lord, we live into each day, whatever it brings.
and the two are united into one….no longer two but one, (Mark 10:8, NLT)
I wait for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning. (Psalm 130:6, NIV)
Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it. (Song of Solomon 8:7a, ESV)

You have come through a storm. God says "Peace, be still." You have also gained a new perspective and appreciation of what God has been doing in your life together. How precious we are to Him and he to us. So happy for you both... continuing in prayer.
That is one of the sweetest and heartfelt expressions of love I've ever heard. May the Lord continue to be your strength and bless your marriage abundantly and may Cindy be completely, fully healed in Jesus' Name!! Love you both!!
❤️
Yeah, kinda like our nice little (some might find boring) life. 😍
You are so so blessed to have each other along with our Awesome God❣️May Be continued to refresh, heal and restore❣️❤️
There is something very comforting about "hanging in the everyday moments!" So happy you have these days to share together! It's not always about balloons and fireworks. (Although I am confident that you have enough fireworks between the two of you to make it seem like a holiday!) It is such a blessing to see how God is working in and through your lives. You ARE making a difference for God's Kingdom! Love you!
