Preparing for Chemo Day💪🏼
"He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith;" ~Ephesians 3:16-17a
Everyday Wellness=Food-Water-Exercise-Sleep-and yes, even Stillness!
Rebuilding my strength after a chemo session is an important part of my daily activities. Nutritious food, lots of water, low impact exercises and plenty of sleep help boost my energy levels every day. I have also found it necessary to stay healthy on the inside and so talking, walking, and abiding with my Lord is an essential part of my wellness routine as well. It's amazing how He 🌟instantly🌟 renews and strengthens my inner most being when I am still before Him and trust that He will meet my daily needs. So, when the stress of life builds up and my faith is weak, the best thing I can do is take a moment with my Savior and ask Him to renew my thoughts and then draw upon His sustaining strength.
"strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy;" (Colossians 1:11)
Stress relievers before chemo week include:
Reading from the Blessed Book. In its pages I find light and life.
Learning to cast my cares and anxieties on the Lord often.
Energizing prayers from family and friends both near and far.
Caring hearts who text, call, or come to visit.
Recalling the blessed friendships I have with you all.
Listening to old hymns of the faith, especially during the quiet hours.
Reaching out to help another in need.
With God's sustaining strength, there is no need to be sad, scared or stressed.
