Grace Overflowing

"And of His fullness we have all received, and grace [upon] grace." ~John 1:16

Once again, God has poured His overflowing grace upon me through you, my dear friends. Your continued prayers, steady stream of cards in the mail, cheerful and perfectly timed texts, and very generous gifts from the heart have taught me many lessons in receiving grace. I must admit, my heart is not naturally drawn towards grace and so it has been very difficult for me to be on the receiving end and to take your gifts and simply accept them with gratitude. But if I am going to enjoy the abundant blessings of God's grace, mercy and love, then I must stand with outstretched hands and receive all that He sends.
In fact, everything we have that pertains to life: the air we breathe, the sunshine and rain, the warmth and cold, the food we eat, the water we drink, the scenery we enjoy are gifted to each and everyone on the basis of God's grace. And so the same grace concept applies to eternal life. I am assured a place in heaven because I have accepted Jesus' work on the cross. He offered to pay for my sin as a gift and I freely received the pardon. If you have received the gift of grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, then you are a part of this grace operation as well. This is in essence what life is all about. It's about understanding God's gifts of redeeming grace, both physically and spiritually. Truth be told, we are all in need of oceans and oceans of grace. Thankfully, God gives us a bounty of good things on a daily basis so that we can exist on His earth. But may we never forget how He provides graciously for our spiritual needs which is of utmost importance.
Have you received Jesus Christ as your personal Savior? He is waiting to give you the free gift of life eternal if you will simply believe on His name without relying on any church affiliation or any other religious work. Ephesians 2:8-9 makes it very clear:
"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast."

Reaping blessings of grace, Cindy

💬Thankful Thoughts

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for sending your Son to die in my place. Because of His shed blood on the cross, my sins have been completely paid for. Thank you for sparing me from the forever torment in hell and gifting me an inheritance in heaven where I will enjoy life everlasting.

Grace is giving to another what they need, not what they deserve.
