He Holds my Hand

"For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’" (For) “I, the Lord, have called You in righteousness, and will hold Your hand;" Isaiah 41:13, Isaiah 42:6

Dear Beloved Sojourners:
Over the last few days, I had some testings done and learned that the cancer is not responding to the current chemo regimen. Of course, Glen and I were saddened to hear this news, but at the same time we are trusting God to graciously undertake in this matter and show us the next step to take. So far, the tentative plan is to start a new treatment procedure utilizing a different chemo drug which should begin on Friday. Please pray for God's will to be done as we embark on this new course of action.

We may not always understand why God changes our plans but we can be certain He will not make one mistake along the way. We can count on Him to supply all our needs. We can expect His promises to be fulfilled. We can believe with all our heart that He will show us the right path to follow. As we walk hand in hand with our Savior, we enjoy His fellowship; we trust His wisdom.

Dear Master, take me by the hand,
and guide me through this day;
The path ahead is rough, oh Lord,
and painful is the way...
Dear Master, take me by the hand,
and fill me with Thy peace;
Uplift my heart and soul, oh Lord
that I may find release...
Dear Master, take me by the hand,
and give me strength to cope;
Protect me from the cares of life,
and bless me with new hope...
Dear Master, take me by the hand,
and keep me close to Thee;
Release me from all doubt and fear
and set my spirit free!

He leadeth me: O blessed thought!
O words with heavenly comfort fraught!
Whate'er I do, where'er I be,
still 'tis God's hand that leadeth me.
He leadeth me, he leadeth me,
by his own hand he leadeth me;
his faithful follower I would be,
for by his hand he leadeth me.

A Prayer to the God of my Life
Father, I do not know what tomorrow holds, but I know I am under Your excellent care. You are always willing to show me the next step to take which gives me right direction. You have validated Your love to me in a thousand ways and now I simply need to trust, pray, and follow close behind You.
