Giving God My Day

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts."
Isaiah 55:8-9

To My Dear Intercessors:
Thank you for praying for God to show me His will regarding chemo.
Yesterday I woke up with a "sore" stomach and low grade fever. I was able to hold food down so Glen and I decided to make the trek to Mayo despite me not feeling well. On the way to Rochester, I texted several friends and asked them to pray for God to make it clear whether or not I should have chemo. After my first consultation, it was determined that I could receive treatment but then shortly before undergoing chemo a nurse checked my temperature again and, sure enough, my fever spiked. Upon further discussion, the care team decided to postpone chemo in order for my body to rest and recuperate.
Our trip, however, was not in vain. When we arrived at the Mayo Clinic Glen dropped me off at the main entrance. As I was walking in, I saw Fawn, Arnie's girlfriend, walking out. With excitement I exclaimed, "Fawn." Surprised to see each other we embraced for a moment and then she ran to tell Arnie who was waiting in his vehicle that she saw me. A few minutes later she came into the main lobby to let me know Arnie was parking the car and coming back inside to meet us. Within a short period of time, Arnie and Glen joined us and we decided to have lunch together. While enjoying our meal, I said to Arnie, "Can you believe it? 3 for 3. This is the third time in a row that we have met here." He grinned and shook His head. We all agreed this is God's doing and shared how He has been made real in our lives.
Looking back on the day, even though things didn't go as I planned, God had a plan that was infinitely better.

Turn your day over to God and expect to reap His blessings of love!

God's eternal blessings
Flows down from above
To equip us in His mission
To spread His wondrous love.

So He can always use us
And stretch us in our faith
So we may be a blessing
To others by His grace.

For everything we need
God will graciously provide
Through His eternal blessings
That's abundant in our lives.
