Fellowship and Coffee

Some of my most memorable moments along this journey were the times we leisurely spent together sharing the joyous things of Christ and sipping coffee. You gave of yourself just to sit with me and it meant so much. It was as if you were saying: “You’re worth having coffee with.” And I needed your face-to-face company. 

Isn’t this how the Lord Jesus feels about us every day? Of course it is! Take a moment to ponder this quote by Dr. Walter Wilson:

“Our Savior loves company!

Have you stopped to think, beloved, He wants you personally. Not just your faith. Not just your believing He can do something for you that’s wonderful....There’s a difference between wanting someone to do something for you and wanting that person. Now our Lord Jesus, beloved, wants you...your fellowship, your love, your communion...He wants us for Himself. He wants us to associate with Him now...”

I pray we take time to “sup with Him” especially during this busy season and reach out to someone and let them know “they’re worth having coffee with” too.

Let’s take time for our Savior and for others knowing this will better prepare us for what we will do in eternity.
