A few thoughts from Dennis this morning:

Thank you very much to every person that has said a prayer for Stephanie, dedicated a thought to her, or sent positive energy our group's way. It is working!! PLEASE CONTINUE TO DO SO. I'm so grateful to have just spent another night with my sweet beautiful wife here on earth. The love and support we're experiencing from family, friends, friends-of-friends, colleagues and others is deeply felt. Steph and I also seem to have angels all around us 24 hours a day...it's been somewhat of a blur but they all appear to be wearing hospital employee badges. Thank you God for providing us with this amazing network. With all that we've been blessed with, I'm 100% confident that Stephanie will pull through, dominate physical therapy and love life and all of those in it, to the fullest, once again. Stephanie, I love you very much and I can't wait to go back to getting lost in your eyes each day for the rest of my life.

I've been following along and been praying constantly for her and for you Dennis. I've met steph just once through Amy & Alyssa but this has been heavy on my heart and mind. Never met you Dennis but I can't imagine what you're going through. To see your bride like that. You will be her biggest support and comfort in the days ahead. Stay strong. Praying for you both that you have the strength to support and she will make a complete recovery. Praying praying praying and sending every positive thought. Let's go steph you've got this.

To my friend, Stephanie. You inspired me from the first day your gracious, compassionate and positive spirit came into the rehab dept at the Faulkner Hospital in Boston. I was your clinical instructor then, yet learned so much from you in the process. I have been thinking of you so very often these last few days, and am sending you healing and strength from Beantown. As physical therapists, you and I unfortunately know all too well the precariousness and uncertainty that comes with a brain injury...yet we also know and have seen the incredible plasticity of the human neurological system and the degree of recovery possible. And seeing as this has probably been the longest period of time you have ever been still and inactive in your entire life, I know you will come out fighting. ;) To Dennis and everyone, stay strong, stay positive and know we are all thinking and praying for you from across this country.

Stephanie, Dennis and family. Thank you for the journal updates. Just wanted to let you know that there are many many people in the Spooner area that inquire about the latest situation update and express their concern and support, and are praying and sending best wishes, but have not yet posted on this site. The circle of support and positivity emanating from here is larger than you may ever know.

Hi Dennis - Deven and I had the pleasure of meeting you and Stephanie at Anna and Derek's Santa Barbara wedding this past April. We had SO much fun spending the night with you, and loved how you both encouraged us to move to CA :) In our short amount of time together, I was truly blown away by Stephanie's beauty - inside and out. Please know you both have been in my family's prayers for strength and healing. Sending tons of love from Boston.

Hi Dennis, I've not met you or your wife, but I've been following the news stories and praying for you both. My husband also suffered a severe TBI in a cycling accident earlier this year and was in Scripps ICU. They are the most loving, caring people on earth. Hopefully it will encourage you to know there were two young people in my husband's safe room (1 step down from ICU) who had severe TBIs and were progressing quite well. One of them, Ryan, had been in a coma following a cycling accident, yet he went home just weeks afterwards. It was amazing watching him improve significantly every day. Right now, I know you're overwhelmed and focused on Stephanie, but if you ever want to connect with Ryan's family, let me know, as I'm still in touch with them. Also, the other boy in the room had a craniectomy after hit and run pedestrian accident, and he was steadily progressing...up and walking! My apologies if I'm intruding here. Please know you're getting lots of prayers and heartfelt concern, even from those who don't know you. Sincerely, Mary

Hi Stephanie, Dennis and Family, Your story is also touching people including people in northeastern Wisconsin. As friends of your parents we have never met you but have followed your journal daily since hearing of your accident. It is fantastic to hear about your positive progress. Obviously you are a fighter full of positive energy. The support of Dennis, your family and friends is evident and that support coupled with your attitude will carry you through this challenge. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Stay strong! Ron and Terry Z
