Steph has always been able to light up a room and blow people away. Now is no different. Steph’s progress continues to amaze all of us, including her doctors. She is nearly off her sedation medication, has gotten rid of the neck brace (MRI confirmed no neck or spinal injury!), and is waking more and more. She has opened her eyes and is tracking people in her room. She is following simple commands (e.g., squeeze left hand, wiggle toes, blink your eyes, etc…). She is nodding yes/no. She is even smiling appropriately and showing facial expressions. She’s started a number of different therapies including music and physical therapy.
These are great signs! All your support and healing energy is no doubt giving her strength and inspiration. Next steps include removing her breathing tube/support and becoming more alert, aware, and responsive. Please continue to visualize her healing and progressing. It helps!

Yesterday I was doing a "run" in the City Park, first time on the trail since having a fractured ankle and getting back to running. The whole time I was out there I kept thinking of you and when I started up the hill at "the pit" I just kept thinking "Go Steph Go" - you can't quit or you won't get to the top! So just keep trying and don't give up!
We here at the IHP are so very happy to hear about Stephanie's progress. Go, Steph, go. All good news, headed in the right direction. We are all sending our healing thoughts and love.
