Hello Grace. I haven't been to your page in quite awhile. I pray you are doing better. I just found my link to your page when restoring some web links. My daughter Mandy suffered the same condition a few months before you (August 10, 2014) here in Florida. Unfortunately she suffered a major cardiac arrest from pulmonary embolism due to the paralysis 3 days later. She has never recovered from the severe brain damage but lives at home with her family and we thank God for every minute we have. Reading your story again brought me instantly to tears. I just want to say that I have not forgotten you and will include you in my prayers tonight.

Much Love,
Jeff Baker

Hello Gracie;

I'm glad you enjoyed the Disneyland outing, poor Emily on the Ferris wheel, that sounds like a ride you might to take an umbrella on next time. It sounds like you had a lot of company, it's good your friend from Craig was able to join you.

I'm still getting my act together moving stuff around my new digs here in Westlake Village, it's a nice neighborhood and closer to Santa Barbara, I'll keep that promise to drop in on you one day in the not-to-distant future, not without plenty of warning of course.

Meanwhile, keep blogging, love ya Gracie,

Bob Mitchell

Hello Gracie,

I was just thinking about you the other day wondering how you were progressing in this journey. You are so strong as is your family. Your words are an inspiration to all especially about "not being slaves to past expectations" and "embracing new possibilities". So beautifully put.
Those words have helped me look at my situation more positively. Thank you. My hopes, prayers, and best wishes continue to go out to you and your family.

Hi Gracie,

I just wanted to let you know we had such a terrific time at the Race With Grace event. There were so many people there all of whom saying how much they miss you and your family and volunteering to help in any and EVERY way. Everyone hit the track walking, jogging, singing and smiling. If one team had already filled their lap cards, folks signed up to help another team. The firefighters were there flipping hamburgers and hot dogs to feed all the hungry participants. I hope you were able to feel the love through Skype. If not, I'm here to say it was BIG LOVE!

Can't wait to see you back in the 'hood soon. All my love, Ashley

I just for like the tenth time watched your arm moving video! What a terrific triumph!! I went to college with a guy who was a quadriplegic from a car accident. He also had upper arm movement (is that from your rotator cuff?) Anyway.....he could do lots of things! After college he started a company that specially equipped vans for handicapped people to rent.......he was able to drive his own van like the ones he rented! You have made a giant step, Gracie......CONGRATULATIONS!! Keep up that great work and we'll see you back home soon!! xoxo The Gallivans
