Message from Lisa
To my dearest friends and family,
I feel it's been a lifetime since all this craziness began. I've been in a bit of an emotional cave since diagnosis, surgery and recovery. I so appreciate Heather for keeping you all posted on how I'm doing. I finally feel strong enough to turn the light on in my cave and pop my head out to say "hi" and "thank you"! I've thought of you all so much and feel so blessed to be on the receiving end of your beautiful well wishes, flowers, cards, texts, posts, gifts, meals, money, love, friendship...and so much more.
I'm just blown away and feel so very grateful...I've read all posts, texts and messages and want you all to know that your love and support means the world to me. For those of you that have donated on the Go Fund me and meal service, thank you for your generosity!
In all honesty, I've live through some dark days over the past month and truely wondered how I was going to get through it all...that's where you have all played a huge part in getting me to where I am now. By shining love and light on my path and sending me prayers and well wishes, you have inspired me to come out of the cave and find joy and happiness in the moment and for the future. I can not thank you enough.
As an update, I feel much stronger after surgery and have healed up nicely. I'm still wearing a cervical collar for stability but feel my neck is getting stronger by the day. I'm now looking ahead to the next chapter of healing and thanks to my dear friends John and Lucy, have found an amazing oncology team. The path forward will be a huge learning curve and involve a lot of love and grace but, I'm confident that my body, mind and spirit are strong and ready for this healing journey.
Heather and I will be keeping you posted on the latest and greatest of my healing journey and, in the meantime, please know that I send you all my love and gratitude!

Lisa, Your words are heartfelt and beautiful. We are thinking of you every day! I have read all the lovely notes to you from friends and family. What they reveal is how much people admire and love you and what a multitude of friends you have. This is one of your many strengths Lisa, gathering people around you, endearing them to you. That speaks volumes of your ability to be a friend to people, your kindness and wisdom. And now all that love will bring strength to you in these challenging times. Kristin, Lars Tyler and Aidan are waiting here in Spain for your visit whenever it will be. I am searching out the best bio wine and corn fed chicken. We love you with all our hearts.
