As we drove out of the hospital parking garage, I watched the first glimmer of sunlight grace Louis' cheeks... And he scowled the entire time. What a lover!

What a joy it is to have our sweet baby at home! To be able to take family naps and stay in our pjs all day and just marvel in the joy that is our darling baby.

Although it's not all easy, we are grateful we have this time to snuggle and get to know each coo and cry. We have never know such sweet sleep deprivation! The amount of patience Dan holds is unmatched. Newborns can be challenging especially because they can't tell you what they need. Dan has done a tremendous job in his new role as a dad. He is patient and caring and kind and so silly! All the reasons I loved him from the start.

We have stayed tucked away in our home as a family of three, just getting acquainted with each other. We were able to get outside and enjoy the first few hints of fall on an easy hike through Provin Trails.

I am anxiously awaiting his surgery date. I am so looking forward to sharing Louis with everyone.
