Oh how I miss my friend! Fallon and family I hold you up in the light and pray that you will find the strength to persevere during this difficult time. I have spent many days in sad disbelief that my good friend is gone but I know that he is putting those angels through their 5-6-7-8 paces and rocking the heavenly gates with his joy, his wit, and his love. I feel so blessed to have called Matthew my friend. The first day that I joined the Broadway cast of Sunset Boulevard Matthew came up to me and hugged me and said he was soo glad that I was there since I was the first "sista" they had hired and we became instant friends. Sunday's at Sunset were party days for us and Matthew would organize the "Eat Me" Catering festivities - theme party, costumes and entertainment! Such wonderful times, such laughter and love and Fallon many days you were there right along side of him. When I was in LA I called Matthew for some advice about performing some Broadway show tunes and before the day was out Matthew had designed the flyer, took the picture and became the director of my show which was a sold out hit!!!! He is sorely missed but the good Lord has him now and I know he is good hands. Fallon you were the light of his life and the heavens are ablaze in his glory. Peace & Blessings to all - my heart goes out to you. I will always love you Matt!

Matthew will be missed. He was my daughter's musical theatre teacher at Debbie Allen Dance Academy and she adored him. A gifted teacher, who was able to share his talent and love of the arts, his passion will continue in the youth he taught. When I think of him I will always see that beautiful smile and hear him laughing.

Thank you to all who are running this site, and posting pictures and messages, and sharing the joy that was Matthew. I'm so sad at the loss of this amazing life, which was way too soon. And while I know that Matthew is in a wonderful place, where he feels no pain, but only joy and celebration, I am so sorry for Fallon and the family and friends who are left to miss him. I know that his memories will stay with all of us forever, and that we can all find ways to use that Matthew spark to continually better ourselves. I heard "Walking on Sunshine" on the radio, and I instantly had a vision of Matthew entering Heaven, and he is, and will forever, get to walk, and dance, on sunshine. Love to all of you. Chris Gregson and I will keep everyone in our prayers, and keep Matthew in our hearts. -Marie Pettit Gregson

There have been so many losses lately, on grand, national, and on personal scales. Losing Matthew breaks my heart and tests my understanding of Eternity. Matt Dickens was in all aspects an entirely beautiful being. Fallon, you got a good one! His love for you led his life. Peace to him and to all of you whom he loved best. What a beautiful Soul, gone home.

My Sweet Matt, Dearest Fallon and Family, I am heartbroken to learn of this news today. I just heard about this site on Sunday from my best friend and "brother" Leonard Joseph, who was also a "brother" to Matt, and forwarded Fallon's email. I posted on the site right away Sunday and sent in a donation...but I felt that wasn't enough...and on Tuesday at 4:59pm I kept thinking about Matt and wanted to call, but I respected his desires not to receive calls so I sent him a text. I know now that he never got it, but I do hope that he and the family know how much he was and is and will always be loved. I've known Matt since my earliest days on Broadway and pounding the pavement as a "gypsy" in NY theatre, and the early Ailey days... since 1986...I was in "Jelly's Last Jam" when he was around the corner in "Saigon"... What a talent, what a legend, what an icon, an artist, and a genius. A true original. A beautiful light. I can't stop crying today, but I've lit a candle for Matthew so the "light" will never go out. I also cut him a long-stemmed rose from the garden and poured him a glass of water for his journey. I will miss my dear friend, but that cannot compare to the loss Fallon and the family must be feeling. I wish you love, light, courage, and unending kindness at this difficult time, and will keep you all in my prayers, now and forever. Peace and Blessings, Melissa (Los Angeles)

Hey Matt !!!!! It's Bass.... Sea bass.... or just Sebastien.... Whatever.... I just got a huge email from Fallon explaining the situation with your health situation and other things including Verizon.... I'm training to become a paramedic and working in an ambulance company. I'm actually at work right now, but I'll write you asap! Hang in there Matt, you'll get through this like EVERY time you've already have! You're a fighter, always been and you're well surrounded by good people! Here's a "lil" joke until I get back to you: A lawyer married a woman who had previously divorced ten husbands. On their wedding night, she told her new husband, "Please be gentle, I'm still a virgin." "What?" said the puzzled groom. "How can that be if you've been married ten times?" "Well, Husband #1 was a sales representative: he kept telling me how great it was going to be. Husband #2 was in software services: he was never really sure how it was supposed to function, but he said he'd look into it and get back to me. Husband #3 was from field services: he said everything checked out diagnostically but he just couldn't get the system up. Husband #4 was in telemarketing: even though he knew he had the order, he didn't know when he would be able to deliver. Husband #5 was an engineer: he understood the basic process but wanted three years to research, implement, and design a new state-of-the-art method. Husband #6 was from finance and administration: he thought he knew how, but he wasn't sure whether it was his job or not. Husband #7 was in marketing: although he had a nice product, he was never sure how to position it. Husband #8 was a psychologist: all he ever did was talk about it. Husband #9 was a gynecologist: all he did was look at it. Husband #10 was a stamp collector: all he ever did was... God! I miss him! But now that I've married you, I'm really excited!" "Good," said the new husband, "but, why?" "You're a lawyer. This time I know I'm gonna get screwed!" Get back to you soon! B
