Watching GOD DO WHAT HE DOES BEST!

Today was the day that Sofia was going to have her old cast taken out, and the same kind (spica) redone. Last night, she shared her fears of going under for the umpteenth time...her port being accessed/de-accessed...and all the things that are scary for children when they have to go back &forth to the hospital. We prayed about it, but still woke up feeling scared...not wanting to go......

As we are driving towards the hospital, she reaches for the bible, and says...Today's reading comes from the book of Joshua...and it's about OBEDIENCE & COURAGE(it's a study bible!).....and she starts reading out loud the following:

Joshua 1:5-9

No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will NEVER leave you nor forsake you.

Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them.

“Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.

Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do NOT be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Facing her fears...and GOD being GOD, SPOKE STRAIGHT  TO HER HEART! God is so faithful, so AWESOME! How he knows us, and speaks to us...if we pay attention...HE IS ALWAYS THERE, NO MATTER WHAT! HE CARES!

She said that as she went thru the double doors, where mommy and daddy can't go(operating room), she remembered the verse: I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU....
