Back in the hospital.....

Natalia has been enjoying sunny afternoons in the garden, sitting on the bench taking in the beauty of the butterflies, new blooms, and sprouts. On Wednesday, she got up from the bench (forgetting that she needed assistance) and slipped in the grass. She fell backwards on her bottom. After MANY calls to different physicians, we spoke with her surgeon and he reassured us that everything was fine! Please continue to pray for healing of her new femur bone. Earlier that day, she had her labs checked at the doctor's office, and then got her outpatient chemo. Her levels were low, but not low enough to do anything at this time. So, an appointment was made for Friday.

Thursday morning she wakes up LETHARGIC, FEVERISH, and on the finger that was pricked, she had an obvious INFECTION.......in ADDITION, she also picked the skin off the cuticle on two other fingers, and those were infected as well. Doctors wanted to see her immediately, and sure enough....she had cellulitis in her fingers, and lymphadenitis. All because she has NO DEFENSES in her body. :(

Today, she is waiting for a blood transfusion, and we are waiting for her platelets go up a bit. Praying that the Iv antibiotics that they are giving her will STOP the infection, and that she will NOT contract c-diff. She is at HIGH risk for infections, and we need to pray for her neutropenic state to change....BELIEVING GOD FOR HER COMPLETE HEALING.

THANK YOU ALL FOR FAITHFULLY PRAYING, FOR YOUR WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT, AND FOR LETTING US KNOW......OUR FAMILY IS NOT ALONE.

You all are in our prayers, the Lord is with you all and He will never leave, because he loves you all. Deuteronomy 31:8 It is the LORD who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” Psalm 9:9 The LORD is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.
