Ewing’s Sarcoma

🎗🎗Ewing Sarcoma🎗🎗

🎗Ewing Sarcoma is the second most common diagnosed form of primary bone cancer in children and young adults. It most commonly affects the under 30’s with the average age of a patient being 15.

🎗Ewing Sarcoma can start anywhere in the body but, is most often found in the pelvis, chest, thigh, ribs, spine, skull or legs, it is highly aggressive and can quickly spread to other parts of the body.

🎗Symptoms include bone pain, a mass or swelling and restricted movement in a joint

🎗Ewing Sarcoma symptoms are sometimes confused with sports injury or growing pains. There is often a delay with diagnosis.

🎗Ewing Sarcoma has seen barely any advancements in survival in over 30 years.

🎗Ewing Sarcoma has had little or no research into it and no new drugs on its treatment protocols in over 30 years. Ifosfamide being the newest one.

🎗All drugs used in bone cancer treatment were developed for adults and adapted for use on children.

🎗Treatment for Ewing Sarcoma is brutal because it is a highly aggressive cancer that requires highly aggressive treatment. Limb salvage and amputations are often needed.

We need kinder treatments, we need our own treatments and we need them yesterday!
