My journey began in July of 2021 when I noticed I was having issues turning the pages of a book during playgroups and dropping cans of food at the grocery store. Several fingers on my left hand had began to lose their dexterity and it was beginning to become difficult to type. To solve this problem I clipped my fingernails on my left hand, but this didn’t help. I met with my general practitioner who cataloged my many symptoms; left hand weakness, slurring words, unable to swallow pills, etc. She referred me for an MRI. A week later I received my MRI, went home at 9am, and got a phone call instructing me to come back at 9:30 for a CT scan.
