Working Hard

Levi worked really hard with his PT and OT sessions yesterday.  His team has come up with a lot of creative ways to get his muscles the exercise they need.   For example, he gets to play the drums with his feet which gives him a little extra motivation to lift them off the ground   You can tell from his expressions that it requires hard work and concentration, but at least there’s a little bit of fun mixed in!

This morning Levi will be getting a few more tests to make sure his body is ready for the start of his third cycle of chemotherapy.  Talk about a mix of emotions...we are happy that his counts jumped backed so quickly so we can keep using the big guns against this cancer, but at the same time we are all dreading the side effects as last round was so tough.  His medicines have been adjusted to hopefully decrease the amount of vomiting he has to endure.   Fingers and toes crossed that they work better this time and he can continue to work on getting stronger.

UPDATE:  Chemo will now be starting tomorrow as they will not be able to check his kidney function today.  We’re glad they’re keeping him safe so a one day delay is fine.   Leaves a little more time for snuggles!!!

Levi, wow! You are amazing! Keep going - cuddles will get you through. Beckett has that same drum set - maybe I'll get him to play it with his feet too ❤️
