Pretty Paintings

Levi’s hospital stay continues.   We finally found a medicine to stop the vomiting - hurray!    More good news is that his mri showed that there is not any infection in his brain and that his shunt continues to work well.   Unfortunately, we now are in a waiting game for his body to heal the mucositis...and we are getting impatient as it is hard to see him hurt!   He needed another blood transfusion yesterday, platelets today, and continues on iv antibiotics.  We are expecting all of this recovery to take at least 4-5 days.   
In the meantime, Beth and Zack are doing their best to take advantage of the rare times Levi is feeling good, although options to entertain a 3 year old are limited in the hospital.  One of the activities that he enjoys are walks in the hallway to see the paintings.  His favorite is the one of the birds and flowers and he asks to stop by it calling it “Pretty!”   Beth’s favorite is the campfire painting.   Little moments of joy are still joy so we’ll take it!!!
