Bumps in the Road
Levi is doing well at home. Look how high he is reaching to build this tower! He was barely able to lift his arms at all just a few short months ago much less above his head! His mood has been more upbeat the last two days as well as he gets used to his new tube in his stomach.
Earlier this week, Levi had his hearing test. Unfortunately, they found that the chemotherapy has likely caused some permanent hearing loss for our Amazing Levi. He will likely need hearing aids and we are waiting to find out what this means for his next chemo cycle as the chemo has a cumulative effect in the ears and may need a dose reduction. However, there is a chance that this is from fluid on his ears, so he will be meeting with an ent doctor to better evaluate. Either way, at this time he is still able to hear us and have conversations - more and more - so we are thankful for that! Another bump in the road, but luckily he is tougher than us all. We just wish he didn’t have to be.
